Terms of Service
Effective date: October 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Supper Club Software LLC (“we”, “us”), the Wisconsin company that makes Slaw & Order (the “app”). By using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
1. Who can use Slaw & Order
You must be at least 16 years old. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
2. Your account
You can browse without an account. To have your votes count, you need one. You agree to:
- give a real email address you can receive mail at;
- keep your password and devices secure;
- have only one account, and use it only for yourself.
You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@supperclubsoftware.com if you think someone else is using it.
3. What Slaw & Order is (and isn’t)
Slaw & Order collects people’s opinions about coleslaw. It’s for fun.
- Votes are opinions, not facts or reviews we vouch for. Slaw changes, recipes change, and people disagree.
- Restaurant information may be wrong or out of date. Listings come from the Foursquare OS Places open dataset and from other users. A restaurant may have closed, moved, or stopped serving coleslaw.
- We’re not affiliated with any restaurant in the app, and a listing doesn’t mean a restaurant endorses us or we endorse it.
- Food safety and allergies: the app says nothing about ingredients, allergens, or food safety. Ask the restaurant.
4. Fair voting
To keep the tallies meaningful, you agree not to:
- vote on behalf of others, or create or use more than one account;
- use bots, scripts, or automation to vote, add restaurants, or access the service;
- vote or add restaurants in exchange for payment, or to deliberately push a tally up or down for a business;
- add restaurants that don’t exist, or give a restaurant a name that is offensive, misleading, or advertising;
- scrape or copy the app’s data in bulk, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- interfere with the service, get around its limits (such as the daily vote limit), or access accounts or systems you’re not allowed to;
- use the app to break the law.
5. Your votes and the restaurants you add
You keep ownership of what you contribute. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, use, combine, display, and share your votes and the restaurants you add, for running and promoting Slaw & Order. Your votes appear publicly only as part of tallies. If you delete your account, we delete your votes; restaurants you added stay in the app without your name, and this license continues for them.
You confirm that what you add is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
6. Moderation
We may, without notice, remove votes or restaurants, merge duplicate restaurants, change limits (such as how many votes you can cast per day), and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or harm the service. We aren’t obligated to monitor what users contribute.
7. Our app
We own the app, its name, its mascot, and its design. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. The app is free; we may change, add, or remove features, or stop offering it, at any time. Restaurant data from Foursquare OS Places is used under the Apache 2.0 license.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (Me → Delete account). We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 5 (for restaurants you added), 9, 10, 11, and 13 continue after your account ends.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t promise the app will always be available, error-free, or that any vote or listing is correct. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
10. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Supper Club Software LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to US $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.
11. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Brown County, Wisconsin, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version at slawandorder.app/terms and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the app after the change, you accept the new terms.
13. Apple App Store
If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store:
- These terms are between you and Supper Club Software LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or anyone else about the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or privacy claims.
- If anyone claims the app infringes their intellectual property, Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging that claim.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
- You must also follow the App Store’s own terms when using the app.
14. General
If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part of these terms, that doesn’t waive our right to enforce it later. You can’t transfer these terms; we can, as part of a sale or merger of our business. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
